Plastforma is an independent art project from Belarus. We unite artists of contemporary dance, physical and figurative theatre, pantomime and butoh to create, collaborate and support the dance community in Belarus.

Plastforma is a meeting point for enthusiasts who are interested in self-expression through the body. We believe our audience could develop empathy and their own body awareness through perceiving dance.

Plastforma started in 2013 as a Festival of Contemporary Dance and Physical Theatre. At the origins of the festival were artists Vyacheslav Inozemtsev, Inna Aslamova and Alexander Tebenkov.

What Plastforma has achieved (Our achievements) :

• For years Belarusian artists and guests from Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Sweden, Lithuania, Denmark, Lebanon, Austria, Japan and Norway presented their performances at the Festival in Minsk and Gomel;
• Every festival edition included an educational program: workshops and lectures for professionals and audience.
• We organized discussions, live Q&As among the participants as well as the Festival guests and spectators to broaden the cultural environment in our country.
• Contemporary dance as an art form was introduced into the Belarusian cultural space. We created new audiences, increased interest, and changed the attitudes and understanding of contemporary dance.

What we do:

Creating:
We have many ideas and we would like to bring people together and collaborate with different artists.

Promoting:
We are looking for opportunities to introduce Belarussian dance community to the world. Our intention is to make Belarus fully-fledged member of the global dance community

Organizing:
We have held the Festival of Contemporary Dance and Physical Theatre for 9 years. We have experience in creating teams, building partnerships with institutions and managing art and educational events.
