STRUCTURERS researches and creates patterns of group movement organization. To create a performance the group uses the results of the discussion of the most haunting themes and "accidental circumstances" - they are superimposed on the movement patterns developed by the group like a mold. This mold can be considered, in some way, a manifestation of the group unconsciousness - the collective mind.
STRUCTURERS specializes in site-specific, gallery and street performance - uses the landscape features of the performance venue and local context, often uses live sound improvisation, works with light and video. We would love to work with multimedia artists! And we are waiting for your suggestions!

STRUCTURERS do not strive to create a finished product. But, using the best results of improvisation sessions, each time for each performance they "make" a new performance. Each performance is a separate creative act. STRUCTURERS do not consciously prepare for some performances - they use a pure intuitive form.
The starting patterns in our search were the formal movement: cubism/constructivism - forms with straight angles, elastic mesh and amorphous mass. These forms later became the collage basis. Also, a number of techniques are a projection of the experience gained by Sergey Poyarkov in interaction with Sybrig Docter (Sweden), Olga Labovkina and Olga Skvortsova (Belarus) and Anna Antipova (St. Petersburg).

What is STRUCTURERS?
STRUCTURERS works according to the training principle: we take some movement pattern, discuss its modification or a new way of using it, try to do it impromptu, record the session, later watch and discuss it.
STRUCTURERS as a system of communicative movement is an effective method of mutual transfer of physical experience and the formation of a sense of instantaneous composition. This training system can be a part of the movement training program for dancers and actors. Among other things, it can be used as a method of group psychophysical therapy for recreational purposes.
STRUCTURERS was born in 2016 in the SKYLINE studio of Irina Shirokaya (Minsk), where Sergey Poyarkov, together with Irinika Basalaeva made the first attempts of projecting modern abstract forms of movement onto the contact improvisation system of Steve Paxton. Subsequently, the laboratory of the movement was created and existed for a long time at the National Center for Contemporary Arts.
STRUCTURERS is an open group - all classes are free of charge, and the selection of members is based on the principle of personal interest. The team is heterogeneous: dancers of different styles, actors and directors, artists. Special thanks to all the Minsk venues which, for a long time or not, provided us with some space for our laboratories and were doing it for free: the SKYLINE dance studio, the National Center for Contemporary Arts, art space VERH, the MATRYOSHKA photo studio, OK16 cultural hub, KORPUS cultural center, CyberSpaceLab dance studio.

STRUCTURERS Movement Lab:
At the moment, most of the group is scattered: Belarus, Poland, Lithuania, Georgia, Russia. I, Sergey Poyarkov, believe that the continuation of STUCTURERS activities in Belarus is barely possible. I would like to rebuild the lab outside of Belarus. The main direction of the reassembled laboratory will be: development of a recreational movement system, movement team building; creation of a communication group for the implementation of gallery and street performance projects.
I also consider it necessary to take Ales Rodim's works out of Belarus and exhibit them. They can densely fill up an area of 2000m2. It is highly likely that this might be a significant cultural heritage. I will be happy to continue working on some analogue of E)(IT performance, a massive gallery project dedicated to the problem of immigrants and non-violent resistance to aggression. I guess that for many just leaving the hostile environment of Belarus and Russia, breaking off all possible relations with it and cropping the aggressor (including ceasing to deduct VAT) is already a big step towards meeting the open world. Some alternative of leaving the territories of these countries can be considered a transition to the spheres of non-material production - including the spheres of Culture and IT, producing products for the global world. At the moment, the lightning designer of this project is in Krakow (Poland), the musicians are in Batumi (Georgia). Perhaps, in light of the huge number of immigrants from the cultural sphere, joint work on a large multi-part gallery project may be a way out for many.
